Crash Reports + Records

Official reports on motor vehicle crashes investigated by Minnesota law enforcement. Reports typically become available in the state system within 10 business days of the crash.
Official MN driving history records. Includes licenses held, violations, crashes, convictions, and status. Certified records are the version that most employers, insurers, and courts require.
Privacy laws (Minn. Stat. 13.04 and the DPPA) tightly limit who can obtain someone else's driving record. When in doubt, stop in before gathering paperwork.
Official Minnesota records for a specific vehicle — title history, registration, and lien information. Commonly needed for sales disputes, estate matters, and lienholder verification.
The same privacy laws that protect driver records (Minn. Stat. 13.04, DPPA) apply to vehicle records tied to an individual. When in doubt, stop in first.
Fees are set by Minnesota DVS — ask at the counter for the current amount. Most vehicle records print on site during your visit.
Gather the paperwork above, then stop in during office hours. Our hours, address, and directions live on the Contact page.
